Biography

Since his childhood, Roger Moore-Hodge has had an unyielding faith in the Lord. His mother, a devout Christian and the church have instilled in him the values of living righteously. God however, has blessed him with an amazing voice with which to sing His praises. He has been singing to audiences since the age of five while living in Barbados. His desire has always been to use his gift to spread the gospel of Christ. 

At a young age Roger migrated to Montréal, Quebec, Canada. There he first became a member of the Bible-Way Pentecostal Church’s young adult’s choir.

Throughout the mid nineties until 2004 he sung tenor in two of Montréal’s premier gospel choirs, Genuine Faith and the R.O.C.K.  His tenure in both choirs has been very enriching spiritually and culturally. He has traveled and performed extensively across Canada and the US. His audiences has ranged from local churches, Gospel concerts, Jazz festivals, the GMWA ( Gospel Music Workshop of America ), to performing for Governor Generals,  Queen Elizabeth II of England and at the Summit of the Americas which hosted thirty-five heads of state from the western hemisphere. Along with the choir he also performed with locally renowned artists Ginette Reno and opened for Gospel greats including Shirley Caesar, Twinkie Clark, Lisa McClendon, Craig Hayes and James Hall.  Another highlight for him was being selected to be a backup singer for gospel great Marvin Sapp. 

Roger has also appeared as an active extra in the Growing Pains reunion movie where he sung as part of a quartet. 

In 2004, Roger relocated to Atlanta GA and became a member of Destiny Metropolitan Worship Church where he followed suit by becoming a part of their awesome praise and worship team and his desires increased to continue using his voice and passion for the Lord to minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ. 

Five years later in 2009, Roger returned home to Montreal, which he would say was the restorative hands of God upon his life. Due to several specific circumstances he was repositioned to receive the multitude of blessings that God had in store for him. 

According to Roger, it was as if ‘The Prodigal Son’ had made his way back home. 

Today he attends ‘The Resurrection Center’ (RC) Church in Lachine, Québec Canada as a member of the Worship and Arts team. Roger is a proud husband of wife Simone and father of three beautiful miraculous children, for which he gives God all the honor, glory and praise.
